New Jersey native Mike Schiavo might landed more than a spot in the 2016 season of "The Voice" with his blind audition - he also landed a duet with judge Adam Levine. After wow judges with his slow and soulful version of "Talking Body" by Tove Lo, Schiavo revealed that he was strongly influenced by Elvis and Levine's band Maroon Five.
"Adam, you should sing that with him and seal the deal," fellow judge Christina Aguilera urged, after Shiavo shyly mentioned that his favorite hit by Levine's band is the 2004 hit, "She Will Be Loved." Levine wasted no time joining the young singer on stage. After a few instructions on chords, the two produced a harmonious and flawless duet.
"I'm not joking, man, I was nervous," Levine exclaimed after the impromptu performance. "I was like, I better not screw this up." Levine didn't need to worry. The performance with one of his music idols led Schiavo to a quick decision to pair with the singer as his mentor. This came to the disappointment of fellow judges Blake Shelton and Pharrell Williams.
